FAQ

General

Where is Array Designs based?

We're a design studio working across Sydney and Melbourne, and we take on work Australia-wide. Most of what we do happens remotely, so where you're based rarely matters. We've worked with clients from both major cities and plenty of places in between.

How long has Array Designs been operating?

Since 2016. Nearly a decade of brand, web, social and campaign work across industries from global manufacturers to local trades and hospitality.

Do you work with businesses outside Sydney and Melbourne?

Yes. While we're based across Sydney and Melbourne, we work with clients right across Australia. The process is built to work remotely: briefs, drafts, reviews and handover all happen online, so distance isn't an issue.

What kind of businesses do you work with?

All sorts. We've worked with global brands, construction and trade companies, nightclubs and events, health practitioners, retailers and sole traders. The common thread isn't the industry: it's businesses that want design to actually do something, not just look good.

How do I start a project with you?

Get in touch through the contact page with a bit about what you're working on. We'll come back with a straight answer: whether we're the right fit, what the work would involve, and the next step. No hard sell.

How much does a project cost?

Every project is different, so we don't have a fixed price list. Cost comes down to scope: how much is involved, how many pieces there are, and the time it takes to do properly. The best way to get a real number is to tell us what you're planning, and we'll scope it and come back with a clear quote. No surprises later.

FAQ

Brand & Identity

How much does a brand identity cost?

It depends on scope. A single logo and a full brand system built from the ground up are very different pieces of work, and the cost reflects how much is involved and the time it takes. Tell us what you need and we'll scope it properly. You'll get a clear quote before anything starts.

How long does a brand identity project take?

It varies with scope, but most brand projects run over a few weeks: enough time to get the strategy right, develop real options, and refine the chosen direction properly. We'll give you a timeline up front once we understand what's involved. Good identity work isn't rushed, but it doesn't drag either.

What's the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one asset, a single mark. A brand identity is the whole system: the strategy behind it, the colour and type, the logo and its variations, the guidelines, and the way it all works together across everything from a business card to a website. A logo is where it starts, not where it ends.

Do I get all the logo files and formats?

Yes. Every brand project is delivered with the full set of files and formats you'll actually need: primary logo, variations, single-colour and reversed versions, and an icon for small spaces. All organised so you and anyone you work with can use them without coming back to us.

Can you refresh an existing brand rather than start from scratch?

Absolutely. Plenty of our work is refreshing and modernising existing brands rather than starting over: keeping what works, fixing what doesn't, and bringing the identity up to date. If you've got something that's tired rather than broken, a refresh is often the smarter move.

FAQ

Web Design

How much does a website cost?

It comes down to scope: a simple site and a large e-commerce build are very different jobs, and the price reflects the time and work involved. Rather than guess, tell us what the site needs to do and we'll scope it and come back with a clear quote.

How long does a website take to build?

It depends on the size of the site, but most projects run over several weeks from brief to launch: planning the structure, designing the key pages, building, testing and going live. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we know the scope.

What platform do you build on?

Whatever suits the project. We build on WordPress, Shopify and custom-coded setups, depending on what you need to be able to manage yourself and what the site has to do. We'll recommend the right platform rather than forcing every project onto the same one.

Will my website show up on Google?

That's a core part of how we build. Every site is built with SEO from the start: proper structure, titles, meta data, fast load times and content written to be found. It's not an add-on. One of our client sites, a Melbourne web design and SEO project, now ranks number one in Australia in its field.

Can I update the website myself afterwards?

Yes. We build sites you can manage yourself and hand them over with training and documentation, so you're not calling us to change a phone number. Some clients prefer we handle ongoing updates, either works.

Do you do SEO as well?

Yes. Every website we build includes a full SEO foundation, and we offer ongoing SEO work beyond launch. As a web design studio working across Sydney and Melbourne, getting a site found is half the job: a site nobody finds isn't working.

FAQ

Social Media

What's included in social media management?

The full picture: strategy, content creation, scheduling and posting, community management, and monthly reporting. We plan the content ahead, build it to your brand, post it consistently, and report on what actually worked so you can see the return.

Do you create the content or just post it?

We create it. Designed posts, stories, reels and video built to your brand rather than dropped into a generic template. Posting is the easy part: it's the content and the strategy behind it that make the difference.

Which platforms do you manage?

Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn, depending on where your audience actually is. We'll steer you toward the platforms worth being on rather than spreading effort thin across all of them.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Social works on consistency, so it's set up as an ongoing arrangement rather than one-off posts. We'll talk through what makes sense for your business when we scope it: it comes down to your goals and how active you need to be.

How do you measure whether it's working?

Monthly reporting on what performed, what didn't, and what changes as a result. You should always be able to see what your social is returning: if you can't, it isn't being managed, it's just being posted.

FAQ

AI Integration

What kind of things can you automate?

The repetitive work that eats time: quoting, scheduling, follow-ups, data entry, answering the same customer questions, producing content at volume. If a process in your business is predictable and takes time it shouldn't, it's usually a candidate.

Do I need to be technical to use what you build?

No. We build tools that fit how you already work and hand them over with training and documentation. The whole point is to remove technical friction, not add it: if a solution only we can operate, we've built it wrong.

How much does AI integration cost?

It depends entirely on what you're automating: a single process and a system running across the whole business are very different jobs. We scope each project to what it actually needs and what it's worth, and we'll tell you honestly when something isn't worth automating. You'll get a clear quote before anything starts.

Is this suitable for a small business?

Often especially so. Small teams feel repetitive admin the most, because every hour lost to it is an hour not spent on the actual business. Automating even one time-consuming process can make a real difference to a small operation.
